Our work with Rice University led to working for the Western Athletic Conference. It also led to working with numerous other schools with Home Town Promotions, - in game promotions.

It led to speaking on branding to the NCAA.

For the WAC, we created weekly "Game of the Week" promotions centered on Smack Talk and used Radio to do it.

The coach of the home town team we aired it in was pissed off...  every coach... ever week.  He didn't want to give the opposing team bulletin board material...

Not realizing we were airing the spot in the visiting team's market each week as well.

It was a huge success because everyone was talking about it in each town each week.

People were calling the conference office to say how much they liked the spots and how much they hated them.

I wrote and produced the spots as well.  These are some of the most clever advertising I ever did.
